Pastor

J. Lindsey Nimmons, Jr.

Lindsey Nimmons, Jr. is a native of Houston, Texas, and had a conversion experience in a revival meeting at the First Baptist Church in Anderson, South Carolina, when he was nine years old. Later, in New Waverly, Texas, while he was reading the Bible in the summer of 1951, he felt an inner assurance that God wanted him to be a minister of the Gospel. He has preached on street corners, in rescue missions, on university campuses, in parks, on beaches, at resort developments, and other places where he could find an audience to tel them about Jesus Christ. He has conducted film crusades in theaters, high schools, and municipal auditoriums, ball parks, and other places in northern California. He has been used to plant churches in large and small cities of California, Montana, and Seoul, Korea. He has filled pulpits at Lyons, Houston, Trinity, Oakhurst, Apple Springs, and Cameron in Texas; Oakdale, California, and in Canada. He has assisted in missionary endeavors around the world.

He earned the B.A. degree in Religion from Baylor University at Waco, Texas, in 1954; he earned the Master of Divinity degree from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California, in 1958. He has devoted his life to making Disciples for Jesus Christ and leading Christians to become like Christ in and out of churches world-wide for 63 years.
